Two Lips
Orchids which bear flowers with abnormal numbers of petals or lips are peloric.  Peloria is caused by a gene which is expressed randomly, possibly triggered by the environment. The phalaenopsis above, with eight petals and two lips, is peloric because it deviates from the standard five-petal, one-lip morphology.
